Autumn is a wonderful season, but it can present challenges for your gardens. Fall is actually the ideal time to work at controlling troublesome plants and identifying small critters that affect gardens and woods. This program will focus on ways to control several plants as well as identify characteristics of critters found in local woods and soil that are causing problems in local environments. PawSafe Animal Rescue from 11am-3pm
- PawSafe Animal Rescue is joining us for the first time and bringing a selection of adoptable puppies and dogs!
- If you can't adopt, donate! PawSafe is always looking for bleach, laundry detergent, dog toys, trash bags and wet dog food. We will be accepting donations starting Friday, October 4th through the day of the event.

Cropley's Fall Festival
True Ghost Stories of Connecticut is Charles Rosenay!!!’s most recent release. This presentation will expose you to the stories of Fairfield Hills Asylum, the Sterling Opera House, Old New-Gate Prison, New Haven Center Church, cemeteries around Connecticut and much more. Some stories might stay with you through the night and possibly change your mind about the paranormal and other unusual encounters.

Hop River was an important mill village in its day. Now, you have to know where to look to even find the dams, rail bed and mill sites. Come help find the clues and learn about this slice of history. Where is Hop River Village?
Learning to See is the second novel in our three-part series which focuses on the impact women of the past have on our lives today. Learning to See traces the development of Dorothea Lange as a commercial portrait photographer to a renowned and influential photojournalist who helped bring about change for the disenfranchised. Lange’s photographs from the Great Depression and the Japanese Internment Camps of WWII represent some of her most iconic works.

Pumpkin Carving Weekend
Join Town Historian John Holmy, in conjunction with the Coventry Cemetery Commission and the Coventry Historical Society, for a walking tour of the Beautiful Grant Hill Cemetery. We will learn why it is called Grant Hill. This is an amazing cemetery to view the work of Puritan era local grave stone carvers Amasa Loomis and Aaron Haskins. We will learn about Coventry citizens buried there like Henry Walker, who ran the town poor house, Hinkel and Mae, retired vaudevillians from the Actor’s Colony, and more! Last year after a several year hiatus, we welcomed back the iconic Festival of Trees, through the dedication of an individual here at BCC, Cathy Nelson, who sadly passed away this year. Through her dedication and through the generosity of more than 30 non-profit and business partners, we had over 20 trees on display, gave away $1500 in prize money to local organizations and businesses, raffled 54 auction items, and welcomed over 300 people over the course of the three-day festival.
As last year was such a success, The Festival of Trees is returning for 2024! This year’s festival will be December 6th - December 7th. We're hoping to honor the legacy of Cathy Nelson this year and make it one of the best festivals it has ever been! Come and look at all the trees, try some of the homemade baked items, sample fresh made egg nog, see Santa, listen to live music and so much more!!!

Bolton Holiday Tree Lighting 2024
Last year after a several year hiatus, we welcomed back the iconic Festival of Trees, through the dedication of an individual here at BCC, Cathy Nelson, who sadly passed away this year. Through her dedication and through the generosity of more than 30 non-profit and business partners, we had over 20 trees on display, gave away $1500 in prize money to local organizations and businesses, raffled 54 auction items, and welcomed over 300 people over the course of the three-day festival.
